Sociology review protest

Protests against Birmingham University proposing to close the Sociology Department. Following a controversial review of the Department of Sociology, the department was threatened with closure, retaining only three staff members and terminating the degree Media, Culture and Society. This caused disillusionment for both foreign and local students, as Birmingham’s sociology department is celebrated as the birthplace of the field of cultural studies.

I didn't do so well on my sociology studies in high school, so I cannot empathize with these guys. I do think more attention and money needs to goto education in the US if we are going to remain a super power!
