One difficult situation in life is when you find that you have just lost your job and you have been thrown into the job hunting group again. It is so stressing because at times you really do not know when next you will land your next job. For those who loose their jobs, they will always have something to smile about because they can still claim their unemployment benefits. Whether you were contributing to the National Insurance or not, you are still entitled to get the benefits. Claiming Unemployment Benefits is the employee’s right therefore he should do it as fast as possible when he looses his job. The employee needs to furnish his closest employment office with the relevant papers to proof that he has lost the job. Within a short time his unemployment benefits will be calculated basing on the amount he used to earn while in employment. Those who had been employed for a long time are likely to get a high unemployment benefit as compared to others. Apart from the Claiming Unemployment Benefit, there are those who can additionally claim tax credits. Those who claim for the tax credits should show proof that either they are living with children or they are working and earn some wages. When they prove these facts, they can be given a chance to claim both the tax credits and the unemployment benefits. However, there are times that an employer is only entitled to a single benefit. This will always be at the discretion of the civil service and National Insurance policies. Whenever one recovers and gets the next job, he/she should provide this information to the employment office so that it can stop giving the benefit.
